During August 2017, ITNA acquired 100% of the shareholding in Munsoft to create a powerhouse group of companies in the financial management and information technology spheres of local government in South Africa.

The Munsoft software is an Integrated Financial Management System (IFMS) that allows municipalities to transact in accordance with the Municipal Standard Chart of Accounts, commonly referred to as the mSCOA. Munsoft aims to improve governance, accountability, transparency and administration of local government resources.

Munsoft has the highest market share in local government with service level agreements with 67 (of 257) South African municipalities. Munsoft also provides IT solutions and services to municipalities in Namibia and The Kingdom of eSwatini.
